The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) and
Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) are
organising a pilot science and policy matchmaking event. It is part of the
Science-Policy initiative to bring researchers and policymakers closer for
stronger evidence-based policymaking.
The event will focus on the opportunities under the Marie
Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) for linking researchers and policymakers -
specifically on non-academic placements in MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships.
The event is for:
- Researchers planning to apply for Postdoctoral Fellowships
under the next call (opening in mid-May and closing in mid-September 2022) and
looking for a (policy) placement
- Policymakers interested to host a researcher for scientific
support, advice and knowledge exchange for a 6-month period
This matchmaking event will provide Postdoctoral Fellowships
applicants with an opportunity to hear testimonials from fellow researchers and
host organisations in MSCA, and to network with potential hosts based on
scientific areas and type of policy work.
